Abetone in winter is famous for the ski area Multipass ( link to ski area) which allows you to try your hand in all the disciplines of Alpine skiing. In winter we provide a ski instructor, Giancarlo Bartolini. With his teaching and advice you will explore and discover this beautiful winter resort, facing its pistes and off piste with the best possible technique. Sci Nordico all'Abetone A small but charming cross country skiing piste that snakes through the hundred year old forest. It is ideal for those who wish to try out this discipline of Nordic skiing. The piste is groomed and ski rental is available. |

Alpine skiing in Abetone The Valle del Sestaione is recommended for those who wish to practise cross country skiing. Here you can tackle the uphill climbs along those tracks which were once downhill pistes. Once altitude is reached the spaces open out and there are uphill and downhill slopes for all technical levels. Some rental companies provide all the equipment, and the first fundamental instructions for use. |

Skiing competitions in Abetone During the winter season, on the competition slopes dedicated to illustrious names from Abetone such as Zeno, Coppi and Seghi, many local competitions are held and also many national and international high level competitions. An example is the Foemina Cup, which is valid for the Women’s European Cup; Trophies which are valid for the Italian Cup; important young and enthusiastic FIS (International Ski Federation) competitions and fiercely fought Master competitions. The national and international finals of the Pinocchio Cup have been held almost at the end of the ski season for more than 20 years, and is by now a classic of the circuit of the young and very young |
